Outside The Box, New England’s largest performing arts festival was overbudget, over produced and basically…over...after its inaugural year. When Mungo was hired in year two, the festival had to be re-imagined with realistic timelines, budget and creative direction. In 2016, the festival garnered 500,000 people over 5 days on the Common.


The entire Mungo team works on every aspect of producing and promoting this massive city-wide event. With a mission of offering the performing arts free of charge to every demographic in the city, our duties include (but are certainly not limited to): headliner talent booking, stage management, sponsorship, operations, production, marketing, advertising, media buying, website production, app development, videography/photography, graphic design, social media, public relations, sponsor on-site activation and nearly anything else that needs to happen. Mungo works year round on this five-day performing arts festival which has featured artists like Guster, Smashmouth, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Vertical Horizon, Michael Franti, Daughtry, The Gin Blossoms, Kacey Musgraves, Blind Boys of Alabama, Los Lobos, and more than 300 international as well as local New England performers. Ultimately OTB utilizes every skillset that Mungo has including experiential, activation, marketing, digital, advertising and content creation services. As a side-note, it's also where MCG was born as firm principals Glenn and Jake first worked together on this event.
